Season 6 set to go!
Tuesday is the night! Only one more day until the new season of American Idol. Season 6 kicks off tomorrow evening and Wednesday with two two-hour shows.Catch the premiere on Fox in the U.S. and CTV in Canada at 8pm ET/PT.
There's already some surprises emerging about the new season of Idol. Reports speculate a "Beatles night" is in the works, continuing on the theme of different music themed performances.
More interestingly, the idea of an online competition to write the winning Idol's song is being floated about. The contest would allow a fan to write and produce a song and then upload to a website.
And before the finale show in April, a star studded special is in the works, which will add an additional night to the Idol schedule.
Admist all of the hype and excitement about the beginning of a new Idol season, judge Paula Abdul is attracting controversy after several recent television interviews where she appeared to be drunk.
